Learning about industrial engineering technology is a lifetime process. 

New technology is being introduced all the time or you may want to work on an unfamiliar machine.

Keeping up with new information is very important, but it is just as important to verify any new information to ensure that it is valid.  Maintain a healthy skepticism of anything written, displayed or spoken until you have confirmed it from other sources.
