- Government Documents
Individual works are covered for the life of the author plus 70 years
Corporate works are covered for 95 years
What About Fair Use?
Copyright law provides some exceptions for educational use.
- use must be for nonprofit educational purposes
- must consider the nature of the copyrighted work
- must consider the amount used in relation to the whole
- must consider the effect on the potential market

What is Plagiarism?
Clone -- Submitting someone's work word for word as your own.
Copy/Paste -- Copying and pasting large portions from a single work without properly citing it.
Find & Replace -- Changing key words and phrases but keeping the essential meaning of the content.
Remix -- Paraphrases from multiple sources pieced together.
Aggregator -- Paper contains almost no original content, even though sources may be cited properly.
