Books returns may be utilized during campus hours. They are not accessible after the buildings are closed, as they are inside the locations.
Pick It Up! - Book Retrieval Service
“Pick It Up” enables patrons to request books to be delivered to the campus of their choice for pickup. Patrons may request books with the form below. The materials need not be in the RCCC libraries; we will borrow them from other libraries if we don't have them. There are no charges for these services.
How it Works:
- Place your request for books utilizing the form below.
- Receive an email when your materials are ready for pick-up.
- Pick up your requested material at your designated location.
- Return the books to your local LRC (or book drops at Cloverleaf & CBTC) when you are done.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Speed depends on where we need to go to fulfill your request. Books in the RCCC Libraries will be sent immediately to the designated pick-up location (typically 1 to 2 days). If we have to go further afield (other community colleges or universities) material turnaround time will be approximately 10 days. Who may use the service?
Students, Faculty and Staff registered with the LRC who possess a valid RCCC ID and are in good standing. Public Patrons are not eligible for this service. Patrons must submit an RCCC email address. Correspondence will only be sent to an RCCC email address.
How long do I have to pick-up the materials?
Books will only be held for 7 days for pickup. Materials not picked up within 7 days will be returned to the shelves or lending library.
Where do I pick-up the book?
Please pick up your materials at your designated pick-up location. Faculty and Staff may request material be delivered to their offices utilizing interoffice mail.

What do I need to show to pick-up my materials?
Materials will only be given to the person requesting the materials. The Patron must show an RCCC identification card to receive the materials.
Where do I return the materials?
Materials may be returned to any campus LRC-IC or book return. For book return locations please click here!
How many items may I request using the Pick It Up service?
Requests are limited to four books per 24 hour period. If more material is needed, the patron is able to visit the local LRC to retrieve the materials.
What types of materials may you NOT request?
- Textbooks-Libraries do not typically add textbooks to their collections and the few that do will not lend them to other institutions.
- Multiple copies of a single copy
- Materials for placement on reserve
- Reference materials
- Archives and special collections
How long can I keep the materials?
RCCC-owned materials are subject to its circulation policies, while books borrowed from other libraries are governed by the lending library's policy.
