Completion of these steps does not guarantee a spot in the program, this is a competitive admissions process. Applicants who meet the Minimum Admission Requirements AND are granted Contingent Acceptance will move on to the Competitive Point System Evaluation.
This program accepts a MAX of 20 students to begin the spring semester.
Complete the Rowan-Cabarrus college admission process.
Schedule an appointment with your Allied Health Advisor to review admissions requirements.

Meet North Carolina Community College standards for placement into college level Math and English or have completed appropriate college level course work in Math and English.
Create a Health Programs Admission System (HPAS) profile.
Information on how to do this will be given by the Allied Health Advisor after the initial appointment.
Complete the required information session.
Log in to HPAS to complete the information session for program of study. Once completed, the information session is only valid for 12 months.
Successful completion and documentation of a biology course.
Need completion and documentation of a high school or college biology course with a grade of "C" or higher.
Successful completion of the ATI Test of Academic Skills (ATI TEAS)
Score a minimum of 60 (percentile rank) on Reading Comprehension.
Score a minimum of 55 (percentile rank) on Total Score.

Review HPAS
Make sure everything you need has been uploaded and all steps have been completed.
Submit an Admissions Eligibility Review Form
You must meet with your assigned advisor to complete this form.
Students applying to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program must meet the minimum qualifying scores for the ATI-TEAS.
For the Fall 2023 Admissions, to move to the selective point system process you must meet the Reading Comprehension score of 60 and the Total Score of 55.
Contingent Acceptance
Completion of the following is required only for those who accept the offered conditional (contingent) acceptance into the program. Information and forms will be provided by the program’s administrative assistant.
