Ask-a-Librarian

With Ask-a-Librarian you can connect to a librarian through your computer at any time. By typing messages back and forth, we will be able to give you answers, articles and more. It's easy and safe. We are open 24/7 except federal holidays.

RCCC librarians utilize the Ask-a-Librarian widget as another method to teach patrons to find and use library resources and the Internet effectively. Ask-a-Librarian, which is provided 24/7, complements the other communication methods with the RCCC community, along with face-to-face, phone and email.

The purpose of the VRS is to provide fast, real time online reference help to patrons at the point of need. Patrons can chat with a librarian via embedded IM/Chat widgets from select library web pages and BlackBoard.
