Users can search thousands of books simultaneously online, saving time and quickly finding the information they need.  

There are also proven learning paths, case studies, interactive tutorials and audio books. Users also get access to exclusive O’Reilly content and as well as resources from more than 200 of the world’s best publishers.

Accessing the Database

  • Students

Students can access the database in three ways:

  1. Going to the A to Z link on the Library's website,
  2. Searching in the Library's All-in-One Search, or
  3. Clicking a link provided by their instructor inside of their BlackBoard class. The students will always be presented with a login screen requiring their BlackBoard credentials (on and off-campus).
  • Faculty/Staff

Faculty and Staff should create an individual login to take advantage of the powerful learning features e.g. creating playlists, etc. To create your individual login, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/temporary-access/
  2. Select "Not Listed Here? Click Here."
  3. Type in your institutional email. "john.doe@rccc.edu" You can only use your Rowan-Cabarrus email address.
  4. You will be logged in immediately and able to access the content.  You will also receive an email to set up a password.  From that time forward, you will log in using the credentials that you created to search the database and create playlists.
