The Library of Congress celebrates the contributions of African Americans throughout U.S. history.

DigitalNC has digitized 18 community and 16 student papers written by and for African-Americans in North Carolina from the late 1880s to the modern day. The papers cover subjects including politics, art, and literature.

Maintained by the National Archives, this website contains databases of information pertaining to African American History. There are lots of web resources, federal and not federal, and links to primary documents about African-American history.

BlackPast.org is dedicated to providing the inquisitive public with comprehensive, reliable, and accurate information concerning the history of African Americans in the United States and people of African ancestry in other regions of the world. It is the aim of the founders and sponsors to foster understanding through knowledge in order to generate constructive change in our society.
