American Occupational Therapy Association
The American Occupational Therapy Association is the national professional association established in 1917 to represent the interests and concerns of occupational therapy practitioners and students.
Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Educate (ACOTE®)
AOTA's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education is recognized as the accrediting agency for occupational therapy education by both the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). ACOTE accredits occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational programs in the United States and its territories.
National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
NBCOT protects the public through validation of essential competencies for effective and safe occupational therapy practice. They provide both initial review and renewal board certification for occupational therapy in the United States.
