Faculty Resource Center: The Faculty Resource Center is a Blackboard Organization designed to assist all Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Faculty. It serves as a hub for instructions, resources, and support. Instructors can access important dates, step-by-step instructions for processes, various resources, and support for eLearning and Faculty Development.

  • American Association of Community Colleges (AACC)
    • The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) is the primary advocacy organization for the nation’s community colleges. The association represents more than 1,000 2-year associate degree-granting institutions and nearly 12 million students.
  • American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE)
    • Provides leadership for the field of adult and continuing education by expanding opportunities for adult growth and development; unifying adult educators; fostering the development and dissemination of theory, research, information, and best practices; promoting identity and standards for the profession; and advocating relevant public policy and social change initiatives.

    • The American Association for Women in Community Colleges is the leading national organization that champions women and maximizes their potential at community colleges.
  • Community College Business Officers (CCBO) (link to https://www.ccbo.org/)
    • CCBO is the only organization dedicated to continuing education for community college business officers. Members will find valuable resources that help them implement gainful funding initiatives and increase collaboration among college boards and executives to continually grow campus-wide resources that drive student success, recruitment, and retention.

    • The Community College Humanities Association (CCHA), founded in 1979, is the only national organization for humanities faculty and administrators in two-year colleges. It is dedicated to strengthening and growing the humanities in two-year colleges as well as creating awareness of the value of humanities education for students, parents, employers, and members of the community.

    • The Instructional Technology Council, ITC, provides exceptional leadership people around table talkingand professional development to its network of eLearning experts by advocating, collaborating, researching, and sharing exemplary, innovative practices and potential in learning technologies.
  • National Asian/Pacific Islander Council  (link to https://www.napicaacc.com/)
    • The National Asian Pacific Islander Council (NAPIC) was established in 2007 to provide a national body for Asian/Pacific Islander constituents of community colleges to have the opportunity to affiliate and identify in the interest of more effective education. NAPIC is committed to promoting professional development of Asian/Pacific Islander Leadership within colleges in the United States, support services for Asian/Pacific Islander students, and implementing and expanding meaningful action programs.

    • Preparing Hispanic leaders for America’s community and technical colleges is the central purpose of the NCCHC. 
  • National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) (link to https://www.ncmpr.org/about-ncmpr)
    • The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. As one of the fastest-growing affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges, NCMPR has more than 1,600 members from nearly 550 colleges across the United States and Canada.

    • The National Council for Workforce Education builds inclusive networks of workforce professionals that champion innovation, justice, and economic opportunity through policy and practice, preparing our communities for success in the global economy.

    • The National Council on Black American Affairs (NCBAA) is a council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). 
  • Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals (link to https://www.lgbtcampus.org/)
    • The Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals is a member-based organization working towards the liberation of LGBTQ people in higher education. We support individuals who work on campuses to educate and support people of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, as well as advocate for more inclusive policies and practices through an intersectional and racial justice framework.
  • North Carolina Association of Community College Business Office (NC ACCBO)
    • The North Carolina Association of Community College Business Office Professionals (NC ACCBO) promotes the cooperative efforts, professional ideals, principles, and standards of education, business, and financial administration; collects and disseminates information pertaining to the business administration and fiscal affairs of community college system institutions; provides the means through which community college business officials may express their views on matters involving fiscal and business affairs; and assists its members to effectively perform management functions.
  • NC Community College Association of Distance Learning (NC3ADL)
    • NC3ADL is an educational non-profit organization. Membership is open to all persons, institutions, and organizations interested in supporting and promoting distance learning.
