MLA Format

Though you do not have to use research for this assignment, you should still format your paper according to the MLA guidelines. If your instructor tells you to do something differently, follow their instructions.

  • Use a 12pt legible font, typically Times New Roman, and double-space your paper.
  • Use 1 inch margins on all sides.
  • Indent the first line of each paragraph by .5 inch.
  • Include a header in the upper right-hand corner with your last name and the page number.
  • MLA does not require a title page unless your instructor requests one.
  • On the left-hand corner of the first page list:
    • Your Name
    • Instructor's Name
    • Class name and number
    • Date in format Day Month Year (11 June 2020)
