Parenting Workshop

Purpose:

Pretend that you are a developmental psychologist who has been asked to make a presentation at a Parenting Workshop. The aim of the workshop is to inform and educate parents about important findings in the developmental psychology field pertaining to raising their children. 

Discussion Board Prompt (Meets Module Objective 1 & 2):

Using your textbook and 1 additional credible resource, answer the following:

1) First, choose which of the major developmental periods you will present about: a) Prenatal development, b) Infancy, c) Childhood, or d) Adolescence.

2) Describe to the parents what type of physical, cognitive, and/or social changes they can expect to occur during the stage of development you are presenting about.

3) Also, educate the parents on the most important topics, theories, and/or research findings pertaining to the stage of development you are presenting about.
